Frozen Semen We Own For Future
WM Farms Breedings
We have over 20 frozen semen breeding units from a selection of pedigrees including CAN, UK and the USA. We generously thank the stud owners that are helping us preserve these genetics while helping us with our program goals of health, genetic diversity and performance. In time, we plan to use and hopefully succeed with carefully selected pairings that give todays field bred golden retriever a foundational expression of past developers.....The consummate working retriever.
Here's one of my favorites.
Here's one of my favorites.
RockErin Red River Ruckus MH QA2 OS (6/30/2003-11/27/2017)I fell in love with Red in 2007. We had one litter of 5 from him, kept a pup. Thanks to Judi, we have the only remaining frozen semen from Red. I shipped his last three straws from Canada to Salt Lake City in 2020. We have about 90m. Slightly more than 1/2 breeding. We will use this on a WM Farms female. Most likely keeping any and all pups IF we are so blessed. Unless Judi claims one of course. His last recorded breeding was in 2013. He passed away at 14 years old in 2017. Sometime in 2024-2027, using a highly skilled repro vet, an attempt will be made on the remaining frozen semen of this amazing retriever. With some skill and a little luck from the golden heavens, we hope to keep his legacy alive.
