Through the early and mid 1900's my grandfather and father shared a common skill in finish carpentry. They started out with home building then moved to commercial buildings. My father quickly worked into a superintendent roll and oversaw 100's of projects between 1960-2000. Over the years my father's talent became apparent. He's very skilled, with unique ideas. All four of his son's worked at the construction site during our summer vacations. It was hard labor and we didn't always like it. Since that time, we've all gone on to college and chosen other careers, but our love for wood working remains. Today, on an early Saturday morning you will find 2 or 3 of us tinkering in dad's wood shop making furniture, wood chests, bread boards, pens or a variety of nick-knacks for Mom.
Custom Handmade Bread Boards
Great for weddings, Father's day, Mother's day, Birthdays and Holidays. I have about 30 boards or pens not shown. We can make a pen out of just about any wood. We've had people drop off wood from an old family tree they wanted to memorialize. Including sagebrush from Wyoming. If you have something in mind, shoot me an email.
Striking native hard woods provide beauty and functional bread boards. (A few imports for accents.) "Book ended" for longer durability and contrasting beauty, each board is unique. Some have symmetry while others are random. All boards are hand cut sanded, planed and glued using Tite Bond III, safe for food consumption. They are treated with butcher block and mineral oils for preservation. All boards will have some natural blemishes, knots, divots, lines etc and should only be used for bread.
